Job Description

Kavaliro is seeking a highly skilled Operations Planner to provide comprehensive planning support for Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC). This role involves working closely with Operational Planning Teams (OPT) and Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) to drive strategic and operational planning across Situational Awareness (SA), Strategic Warfare (SW), Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), and Counterterrorism (CT) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate Sensitive Activity/CWMD/CT/Special Warfare campaign plans, annexes, and operational strategies.
  • Support SOCPAC J5 in planning efforts, policy development, and operational execution.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on DoD CONPLANs, OPLANs, strategies, directives, and implementation plans.
  • Facilitate interagency collaboration with USSOCOM, CCMDs, TSOCs, and key federal partners.
  • Lead the development of CT country prioritization documents, talking points, white papers, and executive briefings.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning, including Joint Staff-directed PLANORDs and response plans.
  • Provide analytical rigor and recommendations to Commander USINDOPACOM, Commander SOCPAC, and the Secretary of Defense.
  • Coordinate revisions and input for strategic assessments and key leader engagements.
  • Support weekly briefings, executive summaries, and high-level updates.
  • Participate in weekly engagements with USINDOPACOM, USSTRATCOM, USSOCOM, and the Joint Staff.
  • Travel may be required (CONUS/OCONUS).

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in operational planning, joint military operations, and interagency coordination.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Strong understanding of Sensitive Activity/CWMD/CT/Special Warfare.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic briefings, assessments, and campaign support plans.
  • Experience working with high-level defense and government entities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise and actionable plans.
