Job Description

This AI startup is building developer tools that actually understand your codebase. Their mission is to supercharge engineers with deeply integrated, intelligent programming assistants that fit seamlessly into existing workflows.

They’ve recently raised substantial funding ($200M+) and are assembling an elite team of engineers, designers, and AI researchers. The product is already in the hands of real users, and now they’re focused on building out the systems that support sustainable growth and monetization.

Why this role might be a great fit for you:

You’ll take ownership of platform features that help track usage, manage subscriptions, and support the broader monetization strategy. This is a critical role at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and growth—ideal for an engineer who enjoys thinking across systems and contributing to real business impact.

You’ll work closely with teammates across engineering, product, marketing, and design to build scalable systems that enable everything from usage-based pricing to streamlined user onboarding. You’ll also play a key role in helping shape the technical direction of these systems from day one.

What they’re looking for

  • At least five years of experience as a software engineer, with strong backend, fullstack, or systems programming skills
  • Experience working on or integrating usage-based monetization systems (e.g. metering, pricing infrastructure, or subscription flows)
  • A product-minded approach—you think about how engineering decisions impact the user experience and business outcomes
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with stakeholders across disciplines
  • Excited about the future of AI in software development, and eager to help shape how it gets built and paid for

Bonus experience that’s helpful but not required

  • Familiarity with monetizing AI products or developer tools
  • Experience working at early-stage startups
  • Hands-on work with platforms like Orb, Metronome, or similar

The team works onsite in Palo Alto three days a week. For the right person, relocation support and visa sponsorship can be provided.

The compensation range for this role is between $200,000 and $300,000 in base salary, with equity and full benefits including healthcare, 401k, tools stipend, and unlimited PTO.

Want to work in a well-funded startup that's revolutionizing AI coding assistance? This is your chance.

No up-to-date resume required.
