Preventative Maintenance Technician
Orlando, FL 32809
12-month contract opportunity with possibility of conversion to a permanent position
Pay rate ranger: $22 - $24/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Sunday and Monday off.

Responsibilities :
Performs expert level preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to; observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment.
Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
Work with production to optimize preventative maintenance daily schedule.
May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Leads, drives, and participates in CI (Continuous Improvement) activities--processes, results, and cost savings using CI tools and methodology.
Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations on possible preventative maintenance changes.
Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.
Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Install and maintain electrical and mechanical components of machinery such as engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical systems, machine controls, and other aspects of production machines and equipment.
Must have a “Safety First” mentality.
The Maintenance Mechanic must be available and on site for any emergencies that may arise 24-7-365 such as machine breakdowns, power outages, weather, etc.
Must be able to communicate professionally with all team members.
Exhibit the ability to utilize computer software such as but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SAP.
