Field Service Specialist

Location: Itasca, IL

National Travel 60-70%

• Weekdays only, home on weekends
• Per Diem given for food and company credit cards for all all other expenses
• You can book your own flights and hotels (earning mileage and points for personal travel) using company credit card

Target Starting Pay: $35-$45/hour (Depending on experience level)

• OT pay (X.5) for all hours over 40/week. Expected W2 in the 120-150k/year range

Overview

Field Service Specialists will operate under the management of the Director of Service. He/she is responsible for providing technical support to our clients during the process of machinery installations, or if the client is having technical issues with the machinery. Most field travel will be during installations, with a few break/fix and preventative maintenance calls on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with providing on-time and on-budget installations.
• Train client staff on machinery usage and maintenance.
• Assis with the commissioning and testing of machinery
• Building good customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist with the building and testing of custom machinery in shop (Itasca, IL) when not traveling.

Requirements:

• Ability to travel 60-70% of the time during the week (Once trained)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and utilize mechanical and construction drawings/models to help build equipment, and to install equipment correctly in the field.
• Experience in a machinery or construction trade (working with sub-contractors and end customers)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to provide daily schedule updates to management and customer.
• Ability to operate under minimal supervision
