Position Summary

As our Accountant/Office Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing office operations, and supporting leadership in driving company success. From managing accounts payable and receivable to assisting with payroll, HR tasks, and administrative functions, you will be at the center of our daily operations—ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Education & Experience

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in an accountant or office manager role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in expense report coding and reporting for corporate credit card users.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems (Global Shop ERP is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and highly organized—comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices, generate weekly check report and print checks.
  • Maintain vendor records (setup forms, W9 documents, 1099 reporting).
  • Manage expense reporting from corporate credit card users.
  • Create customer billings and apply customer payments.
  • Create new jobs in the accounting software.
  • Maintain customer records and perform collections inquiries on aging receivables.
  • Assist with human resources tasks (recruiting, onboarding, job descriptions).
  • Assist with payroll tasks. Timecard collection, updating hours in accounting system, and generating reports.
  • Maintain storage of corporate records, documents, and key reports.
  • Assist with insurance and benefit enrollments/files as needed by the controller.
  • Greet customers and visitors.
  • Retrieve company main line voicemails and distribute accordingly.
  • Sort incoming mail and packages and pass to recipient(s) in the building.
  • Maintain office and kitchen supplies and place orders, as needed.
  • Plan company lunches and onsite events as directed by executive team.
  • Assist with event accommodations for offsite events or team meetings.
  • Handle office announcements (i.e. monthly happenings, upcoming events and other messages).
  • Oversee ad-hoc projects, as needed.

Additional Information

  • Standard hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Work-Life Balance: While this is an in-office role, occasional remote work may be available as needed.
  • The Accountant/Office Manager reports to the Controller.
